High precision and quality mechanical shaft seal made from a combination of 316 Stainless Steel and Graphite, making it easy to install and maintain. The mechanical seal is achieved through the perfect junction between the Stainless Steel ring and the Graphite component. The Stainless Steel ring is secured with headless screws on the shaft, allowing it to rotate together with the shaft, while the Graphite component remains stationary on the shaft seal. These mechanical shaft seals can be directly mounted on sterntubes with the Rubber sleeve secured with clamps. The standard attachment size for the Rubber sleeve on sterntubes is 87 mm, but by using reducers, the mechanical seal can also be fitted onto sterntubes with diameters of 70 mm or 2½” and 3”. It can be complemented with a wall-mounted Bronze shaft seal adapter complete with a water-lubricated bearing (see codes 4900635<>4900680).
